The Site Director, Business Operations Center will be responsible for establishing, scaling, and leading Vave Health's business operations center in Kosice, Slovakia. This role will build and manage a high-performing local operations team supporting global Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Marketing Support, and Clinical Support Operations.
The successfulcandidate will be a hands-on site leader with strong people managementexperience, hiring discipline, operating rigor, local employment knowledge, andthe ability to build a professional shared-services operating model from theground up. This person must be comfortable moving between strategic planningand day-to-day execution while creating the culture, cadence, processes, andmanagement systems required for a high-growth medical device company.
This is anin-office leadership role based in Kosice, Slovakia, up to five days per week.The Site Director will be accountable for local team development, functionalservice delivery, hiring, onboarding, performance management, complianceawareness, cross-functional coordination, and operational excellence across thebusiness operations center.
The KosiceBusiness Operations Center is intended to become a scalable operational hubsupporting Vave Health's global commercial execution. The center will providecritical leverage to field sales, business partner management, marketing,clinical training, customer operations, finance, and executive leadership bycreating disciplined back-office support, reporting, process management, andoperational follow-through.
The SiteDirector will serve as the senior local leader for the site. The role requiresthe ability to recruit and retain talent, build operational standards,coordinate with U.S. and international leadership, understand local workplacerequirements, and lead a multi-functional team with professionalism,accountability, and urgency.
· Sales Enablement: training support, playbooks,collateral coordination, onboarding materials, sales process support, andfield-readiness tools.
· Sales Operations: CRM hygiene, pipelinereporting, forecast support, account data management, lead routing support,territory support, activity reporting, and commercial process discipline.
· Sales Finance: quote support, order support,revenue reporting assistance, commission support, pricing documentationsupport, budget tracking, and business review inputs.
· Marketing Support: campaign operations support,event coordination support, content coordination, lead management support,partner marketing assistance, website support and marketing performancereporting.
· Customer Service: support customer questions,needs, tickets and more.
· Clinical Support Operations: clinical trainingcoordination, demo support logistics, customer education scheduling, partnertraining support, clinical documentation coordination, and post-trainingfollow-up.
· Executive and Commercial Reporting: KPIdashboards, operating review materials, weekly updates, business reviewpreparation, and cross-functional action tracking.
· Establish and lead Vave Health's BusinessOperations Center in Kosice, Slovakia.
· Develop the local site operating model, teamstructure, staffing plan, role responsibilities, reporting cadence, andservice-level expectations.
· Build scalable processes that support globalcommercial functions across sales enablement, sales operations, sales finance,marketing support, and clinical support operations.
· Create a professional, accountable,performance-oriented office culture aligned with Vave Health's mission, values,and commercial growth priorities.
· Operate as the senior local leader responsiblefor site execution, daily management, local team readiness, and operationalquality.
· Ensure the office operates effectively five daysper week with appropriate structure, coverage, productivity, communication, andleadership presence.
· Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train,manage, and develop the Kosice-based operations team.
· Build strong hiring processes that identifycandidates with the right functional skills, language capabilities,professionalism, work ethic, and cultural fit.
· Manage direct reports and team leaders withclear goals, performance expectations, coaching, feedback, development plans,and accountability.
· Establish onboarding plans, training pathways,role scorecards, and operating expectations for each function within thecenter.
· Create a strong local employment brand thatattracts high-quality Slovak and regional talent.
· Identify talent gaps, succession risks, trainingneeds, retention risks, and productivity issues early and act decisively.
· Ensure the center provides high-qualityoperational support to Vave's commercial, marketing, clinical, finance, andleadership teams.
· Partner with global department leaders to definepriorities, workflows, deliverables, reporting standards, and service-levelexpectations.
· Build repeatable processes for CRM support,reporting, lead management, quote support, partner support, sales enablement,marketing operations, and clinical coordination.
· Create dashboards, operating reviews, actiontrackers, staffing plans, productivity metrics, and functional performancereports.
· Ensure work is delivered accurately, on time,and with appropriate escalation when risks or blockers emerge.
· Continuously improve process efficiency,communication quality, documentation standards, and team productivity.
· Maintain practical understanding of localemployment laws, workplace requirements, labor practices, hiring norms,employee relations expectations, and office operating requirements in Slovakia.
· Partner with internal leadership, finance, HR,legal, payroll, and external advisors to support compliant local operations.
· Ensure hiring, onboarding, performancemanagement, working practices, employee documentation, and local officeprocesses are handled professionally and in line with applicable requirements.
· Support local policies, office procedures,vendor coordination, workplace standards, confidentiality expectations, andsite governance requirements.
· Escalate legal, HR, employee relations,compliance, data privacy, or local regulatory questions to appropriate internalor external experts before action is taken.
· Serve as the primary local site leader andoperational bridge between the Kosice team and Vave Health's global leadershipteams.
· Communicate clearly and frequently with U.S.,European, international, commercial, clinical, marketing, finance, andexecutive stakeholders.
· Operate effectively across time zones andsupport global business needs outside of standard local office hours whenrequired.
· Prepare and present site updates, staffingupdates, productivity reviews, project updates, and risk escalations toleadership.
· Build strong relationships across functionswhile maintaining accountability, transparency, and execution discipline.
· Bachelor's degree required in BusinessAdministration, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Healthcare Administration,Human Resources, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
· 7+ years of professional experience in businessoperations, commercial operations, sales operations, shared services, siteleadership, customer operations, finance operations, or a similar operatingrole.
· 3+ years of people management experiencerequired, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, andteam development.
· Experience building, scaling, or leading anoperations team, shared services team, business services center, commercialoperations team, or customer support organization required.
· Fluent English and German required, includingstrong written and verbal business communication capability in both languages.
· Strong understanding of local laws, employmentpractices, workplace requirements, hiring norms, and business operatingexpectations in Slovakia or Central Europe.
· Demonstrated ability to recruit, select, train,manage, and retain high-performing talent.
· Strong project management, process improvement,organizational, and follow-through skills.
· Excellent Microsoft Office skills, includingPowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
· Experience building dashboards, operatingreports, productivity metrics, staffing plans, business reviews, or KPIreporting required.
· Ability to work in office five days per week inKosice, Slovakia.
· Must be legally authorized to work in Slovakiaand must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in thefuture.
· Must be legally eligible to travelinternationally for business purposes, subject to applicable visa, entry,sanctions, export control, and company compliance requirements.
· Experience in medical device, ultrasound, healthcaretechnology, diagnostics, imaging, life sciences, software-enabled healthcare,or regulated industries strongly preferred.
· Experience supporting sales enablement, salesoperations, sales finance, marketing operations, clinical support operations,or customer operations preferred.
· Experience working with U.S.-based or globalcompanies preferred.
· Experience opening or scaling an internationaloffice, shared services center, business operations center, or commercialsupport hub preferred.
· Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot,Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred.
· Experience working with finance, HR, payroll,recruiting, legal, facilities, vendors, and local advisors preferred.
· Additional Slovak, Czech, or other Europeanlanguage capabilities preferred.
